Questions tagged [publishing]

For questions about publishing mathematical content.

Math is not a secret science, it lives from results being published and communicated among mathematicians. Publications can take the form of articles in peer-reviewed journals, books or online sites. Different forms of publications may require different levels of scrutiny and on the other hand may be considered of different reliability.

How to formulate, where to publish on which topic, whom to contact, how to proceed in general - and how to decide if a result is "worth-while" in the first place; those are typical problems a beginner in publishing mathematical material faces.
