To find the relative error we take:
$$\frac{f(x)-f(x^*)}{f(x)}\approx \frac{f'(x^*)(x-x^*)}{f(x)}\approx_{(1)} \frac{f'(x)}{f(x)}x\cdot\delta(x)$$
