Working out how much time has increased by in %

I have two time values:

Previous 3d 5h

Now 5d 7h

How can I work out how much it has changed by in terms of percentage.

How would you usually go about working out how much something has changed by in terms of percentage? Say, if something has increased from 3 to 5? Time values are no different from anything else, really. — Arthur, Mar 25 '19 at 10:34

Previous: $77$ hours, now: $127$ hours.

Thus, $127/77=1+50/77$, so this is an increase of $50/77\approx 65\%$.
