Hint: Consider that $\tan$ is strictly increasing and continuous on $(-\frac{\pi}{2},\frac{\pi}{2})$, so its image on $[a,b]\subset (-\frac{\pi}{2},\frac{\pi}{2})$ is $[\tan a,\tan b]$.
