I have had an avid interest in mathematics for over 48 years. Ever since I realized some shortcuts i could use to perform operations on fractions with much less effort than the rest of my peers at school. Up to that point I had made very difficult progress in math comprehension.
Since then I have used the techniques i learned to help some individuals with learning disabilities to be competent in performing calculations.
Some of my favorite mathematical hobbies have to do with using mathematical sequences in way to aid in performing various calculation as well as using mathematics as an aid in discovering answers in to philosophical questions.
Currently i am working on creating a resource that describes the fundamental mechanics of mathematics using the decimal system, including a method for recognizing large prime numbers without using the methods commonly used today, and without resorting to computer programs etc.
My aim is to make complex math tasks easy to perform with pencil and paper that tend to be solved with the aid of computers and make higher mathematics more approachable to both the general public, who generally tend to shy away from trying to solve complex mathematical questions, as well as those with learning disabilities.
