As a friend of mine once said, "we're just math students trying not to be mediocre." I share that sentiment.

My background in Mathematics is interesting, to say the least. Because I was home-schooled and did not take a real "formal" Mathematics course until University, I see certain concepts and proofs differently than others. Sometimes, the way I see them is flawed; other times, they help me in analyzing the concept a bit more and working through them. Each time I see a question,, I try to devise a completely new proof which allows me to see the question in a different light. If the atypical proof, however, is far more elegant and contains more information than mine, then I will(of course) use that.

I am always told that, in Mathematics, less is more. I was raised with the concept that the more you write and explain, no matter how "obvious" it may seem, the better it is understood. Obviously, this concept clashes with the prevailing mathematical idea about proofs. I struggle with this and my posts on math stack exchange will showcase this struggle from time to time.

I hope to learn a lot and give a lot. Thanks for reading.
